The Equalizer 3-Movie Collection (2014-2023), a three-disc set on Blu-ray or 4K UHD, with the latter format containing IMAX Enhanced presentations of all three films films, with DTS:X audio tracks for both
The Equalizer 2 and
The Equalizer 3.
The Equalizer 3-Movie Collection came in at No. 15 on the Blu-ray-only chart, with an HD share of 58% and 15% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
Returning to the top three Blu-rays this week is Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's
The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Released theatrically in April 2023, the animated adaptation of the hugely popular Nintendo video game series received mixed reviews, but smashed several box office records, ending up with over $574 million domestically and a staggering $1.36 billion worldwide. This week,
The Super Mario Bros. Movie sold 56% as many Blu-ray units as
The Equalizer 3, with an HD share of 90% and 72% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
And debuting in third place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Angel Studios'
Sound of Freedom. Based on a true story about a US government agent rescuing children from sex trafficking in Colombia,
Sound of Freedom became a sleeper hit when it was released in July 2023. While critics were somewhat negative towards the film, audiences were not and that led to the film eventually amassing over $184 million at the domestic box office, for a global haul of over $247 million. This week,
Sound of Freedom sold 46% as many Blu-ray units as
The Equalizer 3, with an HD share of 50%.
Elsewhere on the charts, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's
The Nun II debuted at No. 9 on the Blu-ray-only chart, with an HD share of 53% and 7% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
