The Blu-ray sales chart for last week looked like a boys' club. According to data from Nielsen VideoScan First Alert, Universal's unrated actioner 'Fighting' narrowly won the top-selling spot over Disney's R-rated comedy 'Adventureland'. Coming in third was 'Smallville: The Complete Eighth Season'. In the meantime, last week's top seller, 'Hannah Montana: The Movie', plummeted to sixth place.

Here is the Blu-ray top 10 (previous-week ranking in parenthesis):
  1. • Fighting
  2. • Adventureland
  3. • Smallville: The Complete Eighth Season
  4. (4) Watchmen
  5. • Duplicity
  6. (1) Hannah Montana: The Movie
  7. (18) Planet Earth: The Complete Series
  8. (6) Fast & Furious
  9. (2) The Last House on the Left
  10. (3) I Love You, Man
Two of Universal's long-awaited catalog titles, British comedies 'Shaun of the Dead' and 'Hot Fuzz' also made the charts, in places 14 and 16, respectively, despite being available initially only at Best Buy.

Regarding BD market share, the new release that got most sales from its Blu-ray version was 'Adventureland', with 15 percent, followed by 'Fighting' and 'Smallville', with 11 percent each, 'Duplicity' with 8 percent, and 'Sunshine Cleaning' with 7 percent.

Overall, BD sales revenue was $10.52 million, up 49.94% from the same week last year. DVD sales revenue was $137.08 million, down 20.04% year-on-year.

Blu-ray accounted for 7.1% of total packaged-media sales revenue.
