Concert Blu-ray Wave from Eagle Rock

Eagle Rock Entertainment is releasing no fewer than five concert titles on Blu-ray in the fall. 'Eminem: Live from New York City' and 'Toto: Falling in Between Live' will be released on October 20, while 'Earth, Wind and Fire: Live at Montreux 1997', 'Billy Idol: In Super Overdrive Live', and 'Carlos Santana Presents: Blues at Montreux 2004' have a release date of November 17.

Audio and video specifications have not been detailed at this time, but you can expect a 1080i AVC video encode, accompanied by multichannel DTS-HD Master Audio and stereo PCM audio tracks.

Eminem: Live from New York City

This concert was filmed at Madison Square Garden in 2005 at the culmination of Eminem's farewell tour prior to his retirement. It's a spectacular show with multi-level staging, amazing lighting and guest appearances from D12, Obie Trice and Stat Quo. It aired originally on Showtime.

This title was recorded at Le Zenith in Paris in March 2007 in front of a wildly enthusiastic sell-out crowd. It captures the band rocking at their hardest and most powerful and giving a new life to all their best loved tracks.

Earth, Wind and Fire: Live at Montreux 1997

This Blu-ray features the concert Earth, Wind and Fire gave at the 1997 Montreux Jazz Festival, which features a couple of tracks from the (then-new) release In The Name Of Love album surrounded by classic hits. At this stage it isn't confirmed if the additional songs from a 1998 concert included in the DVD have been added to the Blu-ray.

Billy Idol: In Super Overdrive Live In Super Overdrive Live was filmed at the Congress Theater, Chicago for the US TV series Soundstage and originally broadcast in America in July 2009. The show sees Billy Idol, with trademark sneer and peroxide hair very much to the fore, reunited with guitarist Steve Stevens, who played on (& sometimes co-wrote) all his 1980s hits. The tracklist runs from early Generation X favorites, through his classic solo singles and up to tracks from his most recent album The Devil's Playground.

Carlos Santana Presents: Blues at Montreux 2004

July 12, 2004 was a very special night at the Montreux Festival for any blues fan. With Carlos Santana as musical director (and special guest guitarist), three musical legends took to the stage. Each one delivered a full concert set packed with some of the finest blues guitar playing you'll ever hear. Bobby Parker, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown and Buddy Guy are all headline acts in their own right so it was a real coup to get them on one line-up. Throw in the guest appearances by Carlos Santana and Chic maestro Nile Rodgers and blues heaven is complete!
