VCI Home Entertainment has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray releases of
The Gamblers (1970) and Julio Buchs'
A Bullet for Sandoval (1969). The two releases will be available for purchase on November 7.
The Gamblers
Description: The story line was derived from an 1866 novel of the same name, written by Fyodor Dostoyevsky, where 'high stakes' is the name of the game and 'winner takes all.'
The story unfolds, with professional card sharks teaming up on a luxury cruise liner hoping to swindle a wealthy aristocrat out of his savings. As the plot thickens and with stakes high, the confident swindlers are met with some surprising twists and turns that will leave the audience shaking their heads. Directed by Ron Winston, and starring
Suzy Kendall, Don Gordon, Pierre Olaf, Kenneth Griffith, and Stuart Margolin.

A Bullet for Sandoval
Description: John Warner (George Hilton) is a rebel soldier who deserts his outfit on the eve of battle and goes over the border into Mexico to be with his girlfriend when she gives birth to their child. When he arrives Warner finds that his fiancée has died in childbirth and her father, played by Ernest Borgnine, lusts only to kill him. Raw, savage Western fare in the tradition of A Fistful of Dollars, co-directed by Lucio Fulci, one of the masters of blood-soaked Italian horror/fantasies and sexy thrillers.
