Hannah Montana: the Movie' was the top-selling title on Blu-ray during the week ended August 23, according to data from Nielsen VideoScan First Alert. Disney's tween phenomenon sold 50 percent more BD units than the second title in the charts, Universal's horror remake '
The Last House on the Left'.

Regarding BD market share for new releases, the title that did best were 'The Last House on the Left' and the TV series '
Sons of Anarchy: Season One', with 13 percent each. '
Dexter: The Third Season' got 7 percent, while 'Hannah Montana: The Movie' received from Blu-ray only 5 percent of its total sales, despite the BD release including both the DVD and a digital copy of the movie.
Overall, BD sales revenue was $13.26 million, up 143.65% from the same week last year. It was the slowest week of the month, but certainly not of the year - there have been several weeks before with revenues under $11 million.
DVD sales revenue was $154.87 million, down 6.80% year-on-year.
Blu-ray accounted for 7.9% of total packaged-media sales revenue.
