For the week of September 4th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompson's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, starring Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Jake Johnson and Oscar Isaac.

Description: Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga (2018, Best Animated Feature Film, Spider-Man™: Into the Spider-Verse), SPIDER-MAN™: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn's full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders, and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.

Sony's 4K UHD release of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse contains Dolby Atmos audio and Dolby Vision HDR. Extras include filmmaker commentary (on 4K UHD and Blu-ray), as well as over 90 minutes of extras exclusive to Blu-ray, including a deleted scene, lyric videos and several featurettes. In addition to standard packaging, a Best Buy Exclusive 4K UHD SteelBook, Target Exclusive Blu-ray with Character Cards and Walmart Exclusive Blu-ray SteelBook will also be available.

Also coming from Sony is a 4K UHD SteelBook release for Danny DeVito's Matilda (1996), starring Mara Wilson, Danny DeVito, Rhea Perlman, Embeth Davidtz, Pam Ferris and Paul Reubens. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Sony presents Matilda with Dolby Vision HDR and a choice of a new Dolby Atmos remix or original DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio. New extras on the 4K UHD disc include audio commentary with Danny DeVito and the film's theatrical trailer, while an included Blu-ray copy features additional legacy extras, including Afternoon Tea: A Very Magical Matilda Reunion, Matilda's Movie Magic!, A Children's Guide to Good Manners, Escape to the Library and My Movie About Making Matilda by Mara Wilson.

New this week from Paramount Home Media Distribution is a Blu-ray for Star Trek: Picard - The Final Season (2023) starring Patrick Stewart. The three-disc set contains all 10 episodes of the third and final season of the series, as well as over 150 minutes of extras, including never-before-seen deleted scenes, behind-the-scenes featurettes and a gag reel. In addition to standard packaging, a Limited Edition SteelBook will also be available.

Also coming this week from Paramount is a 4K UHD upgrade for Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow (1999), starring Johnny Depp, Christina Ricci, Miranda Richardson, Michael Gambon, Casper Van Dien and Michael Gough. Sourced from a 4K master, Paramount presents Sleepy Hollow with Dolby Vision HDR and DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio. In addition to standard packaging, a SteelBook will also be available.

New on Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is Harley Quinn: The Complete Third Season (2022). The single-disc release contains all 10 episodes.

New this week from Magolia Pictures is a Blu-ray for Paul Schrader's Master Gardener, starring Joel Edgerton, Sigourney Weaver, Quintessa Swindell, Esai Morales and Scott Green.

Description: Directed by Academy Award® nominee Paul Schrader based on his original screenplay, Master Gardener follows Narvel Roth (award-winner Joel Edgerton), the meticulous horticulturist of Gracewood Gardens. He is as much devoted to tending the grounds of this beautiful and historic estate, to pandering to his employer, the wealthy dowager Mrs. Haverhill (three-time Academy Award® nominee Sigourney Weaver). New on Blu-ray from Decal Releasing is Nick Cassavetes' God Is a Bullet, starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maika Monroe, Jonathan Tucker, January Jones, Jamie Foxx and Ethan Suplee.

Description: When detective Bob Hightower finds his ex-wife murdered and daughter kidnapped by a satanic cult, he quits the police force, gets tattoos, and infiltrates the cult to hunt down the charismatic cult leader, Cyrus, with the help of the cult's only female escapee, Case Hardin. Bob is led down the rabbit hole to save his daughter while Case seizes the opportunity to claim back her power.

Decal Releasing's Blu-ray of God Is a Bullet contains a behind-the-scenes featurette and trailers.

New from Well Go USA is a Blu-ray for Jianming Huang's Goodbye Monster (山海经之再见怪兽), starring Cong Liu, Yi-ai Ai, Kai Wang, Zhe Zhang, Ziping Chen and Lei Zhang.

Description: The Kunlun world composed of thousands of islands is haunted by the Dark Spirits - a form of poisonous essence that would cause irreversible damage to one's mind. Bai Ze, in an attempt to defend the healing island from the Dark Spirits, boldly applied his untested theory to work. Eventually, however, he ended up destroying the whole island and getting expelled by the masters. Seven years later, when Bai Ze is about to prove himself with his research, he has fallen victim to a frame-up. Being forced to flee, he escapes to the now ruined healing island where a qilin named Yi is searching for a cure for his slow-growing horn. The young boy suffers from such frustration and pain that he can no longer withhold the Dark Spirits' erosion. On one hand, Bai Ze needs to reclaim his name; on the other, a patient is in dire need of his help. What will Bai Ze do? Will he be able to banish the Dark Spirits and heal the world?

Turning to catalog titles, Arrow Video have a Blu-ray for Jacques Deray's Borsalino (1970), starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, Alain Delon, Catherine Rouvel, Corinne Marchand, Hélène Rémy and Françoise Christophe. Sourced from an HD master, Arrow presents Borsalino with LPCM Mono audio in the original French (with optional English subtitles) or an English dub. Extras include audio commentary by film scholar Josh Nelson, new interviews on the film's score and costume designs, Le Magnifique Belmondo: An archive extra on the actor, a theatrical trailer and an image gallery. Also included is a double-sided fold-out poster, reversible artwork, six artcards and an illustrated collector's booklet.

Coming to 4K UHD from Shout Factory is Thom Eberhardt's Night of the Comet (1984), starring Robert Beltran, Catherine Mary Stewart, Kelli Maroney, Sharon Farrell, Mary Woronov, Geoffrey Lewis. Sourced from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Shout presents Night of the Comet with Dolby Vision HDR and a choice of DTS-HD MA 2.0 or 5.1 audio. Extras on the 4K UHD disc include three legacy audio commentaries, while an included remastered Blu-ray copy features additional legacy extras from Shout's 2013 Collector's Edition Blu-ray, including interviews with actors Kelli Maroney, Catherine Mary Stewart and Robert Beltran, as well as makeup effects creator David B. Miller, photo galleries and a theatrical trailer.

Also coming from Shout is a Blu-ray for Charlie Loventhal's My Demon Lover (1987), starring Scott Valentine, Michele Little, Robert Trebor, Gina Gallego, Alan Fudge and Ellen Gerstein. Sourced from a new 2K scan of the interpositive, Shout presents Night of the Comet with DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono audio. Extras include a new making of featurette with Charlie Loventhal and actors Scott Valentine, Michele Little, and Robert Trebor, as well as new interviews with makeup effects artist Doug Drexler and composer David Newman. A theatrical trailer and TV spot are also included.

Coming to 4K UHD from the Criterion Collection is Rob Reiner's The Princess Bride (1987), starring Cary Elwes, Mandy Patinkin, Chris Sarandon, Christopher Guest, Wallace Shawn and André René Roussimoff. Sourced from a 4K master, Criterion presents The Princess Bride with Dolby Vision HDR and DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio. An included Blu-ray replicates the extras from Criterion's 2018 release, including Criterion's laserdisc audio commentary, an edited audiobook reading of the novel The Princess Bride by Rob Reiner and several making of featurettes.
