For the week that ended on August 26th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Fast X remained on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its third week. The tenth sequel in the Fast and Furious franchise opened in May to decidedly mixed reviews and while it topped the box office on its opening weekend with over $67 million, it made the majority of its $700-plus million internationally. This week, Fast X had an HD share of 50%, with 13% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Remaining in second place on both charts in its fourth week is Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The 32nd film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe caps the well-received trilogy, this time placing Rocket Raccoon at the heart of the story and offering some surprisingly dark and emotional backstory for the wisecracking character as the Guardians try to protect him from the High Evolutionary, a mad scientist from Rocket's past. Despite coming six years after Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2, audiences responded positively to this final volume, with the film making over $118 million domestically on its opening weekend, on its way to a total of $359 million and over $845 million worldwide. This week, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sold 55% as many Blu-ray units as Fast X, with an HD share of 54% and 19% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Returning to the top three Blu-rays is place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Lionsgate Home Entertainment's John Wick: Chapter 4. The fourth installment in the John Wick series saw the titular hitman in yet more outrageous gun battles and fight sequences, as he takes revenge on the High Table over a whopping 169 minutes of nearly non-stop action. The film opened in March 2023 to near-universal acclaim and topped the box office on its opening weekend, with over $73 million, on its way to over $187 million domestically and over $426 million globally. This week, John Wick: Chapter 4 sold 41% as many Blu-ray units as Fast X, with an HD share of 68% and 22% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the charts, Disney's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which was issued on 4K UHD this week, came in at No. 4 on the Blu-ray-only chart. Lionsgate's The Blackening was the week's top new release at No. 5, while another new release, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar, came in at No. 7. Outside the top ten, Shout Factory's Hackers, another title which saw a 4K UHD release this week, came in at No. 12, while Arrow's 4K UHD release of Weird Science brought that film in just behind at No. 13 and easily topped the UHD Market Share chart for the week, with over 96% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
