As part of the campaign to support its theatrical release, the
'Inglourious Basterds' international Facebook page exclusively presented today "the full-length Tarantino masterclass". This 45-minute Q&A was filmed as part of the Cinemapocalypse movie marathon which took place on August 15 in Austin, Texas.
'Inglourious Basterds' just opened theatrically, to generally positive reviews and better-than-expected box office ($14 million during Friday, according to
Deadline Hollywood Daily. That is good news for studio The Weinstein Company, whose shaky financial situation made it necessary to
sell the US home video rights to Universal (which also has both international distribution and home video).
Naturally, there is no release date for the Blu-ray yet, but it would be unreasonable to expect it in 2009, as the rest of the year is already chock-full with big blockbuster movies.
