For the week of July 31st, Walt Disney Home Entertainment will release a Blu-ray and 4K UHD for James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and Vin Diesel.

Description:The galaxy's favorite band of misfits are back for one final adventure, and it may be their most dangerous yet. James Gunn's epic conclusion to the Guardians trilogy is "full of heart, humor, and action" (Ross Bonaime, Collider) and "an absolute must-see" (Molly Freeman, Screen Rant). Raising the stakes to new levels, the team must protect one of their own from a mysterious new villain in a thrilling adventure full of the spectacle, humor and heart that fans have come to expect. Disney's Blu-ray release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 contains DTS-HD MA 7.1 audio, while the 4K UHD disc contains HDR and the film's Dolby Atmos audio. Extras include audio commentary with James Gunn, deleted scenes, a gag reel and two featurettes. In addition to standard packaging, a Best Buy Exclusive SteelBook and Walmart Exclusive with Enamel Pin will also be available. Also coming from Disney is a remastered Blu-ray and 4K UHD release for Wilfred Jackson, Hamilton Luske and Clyde Geronimi's Cinderella (1950), starring Ilene Woods, Eleanor Audley, Verna Felton, Claire Du Brey, Rhoda Williams and James MacDonald. Newly remastered in 4K, Disney presents Cinderella with DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio and HDR on the 4K UHD disc. The included remastered Blu-ray sports a selection of bonus features, including In Walt's Words: The Envisioning of Cinderella and "Classic Bonus" content like a making of program, various featurettes and radio programs and a series of theatrical trailers. New on Blu-ray from Lionsgate is Laura Terruso's About My Father, starring Robert De Niro, Sebastian Maniscalco, Leslie Bibb, Kim Cattrall, David Rasche and Anders Holm.

Studio description: The hottest comic in America, Sebastian Maniscalco joins forces with legendary Italian-American and two-time Oscar® winner, Robert De Niro (Best Actor, Raging Bull, 1980), in the new comedy ABOUT MY FATHER. The film centers around Sebastian (Maniscalco) who is encouraged by his fiancée (Leslie Bibb) to bring his immigrant, hairdresser father, Salvo (De Niro), to a weekend get-together with her super-rich and exceedingly eccentric family (Kim Cattrall, Anders Holm, Brett Dier, David Rasche). The weekend develops into what can only be described as a culture clash, leaving Sebastian and Salvo to discover that the great thing about family is everything about family. ABOUT MY FATHER is directed by Laura Terruso and written by Austen Earl & Sebastian Maniscalco.

Lionsgate's Blu-ray release of About My Father contains One Big Happy Family: Making About My Father, Sebastian: The Big Stage to the Big Screen, About My Look: From Frugal to Fancy and the film's theatrical trailer.

New on Blu-ray from Sentai Filmworks is Takashi Naoya's Vermeil in Gold: Complete Collection, starring Yuya Hirose, Maaya Uchida, Wakana Kuramochi, Yu Okano, Kaori Ishihara and Sakura Nakamura.

Description: Magic student Alto Goldfield isn't having much luck at summoning, but it's required to advance to the next grade. Then he chances upon an old grimoire and summons a lot more than he anticipated - a very beautiful and naked demon girl named Vermeil! The good news: she's willing to become his familiar! Unfortunately, she also wants to "bond" in another way, live off his mana, and isn't crazy about wearing clothes. This is probably going to get awkward, but in a school where the bullies have dragons, could it hurt to have a familiar who can kick a dragon's tail? Welcome to Demon keeping 101, where, with any luck, Alto will hopefully survive summoning VERMEIL IN GOLD!

Sentai's Blu-ray of Vermeil in Gold: Complete Collection is a two-disc set with all 12 episodes in a choice of Japanese: DTS-HD MA 2.0 audio with English subtitles or an English dub track. New from Cinedigm is a Blu-ray for John Slattery's Maggie Moore(s), starring Jon Hamm, Tina Fey, Micah Stock, Nick Mohammed, Happy Anderson and Allison Dunbar.

Description: Police Chief Sanders (Jon Hamm) investigates the bizarre murders of two women with the same name, and unravels a web of small-town lies. He meets and quickly falls for Rita (Tina Fey), a nosy neighbor who is eager to help solve the mystery. Directed by John Slattery.

New from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is a Blu-ray for Ben Ketai's River Wild, starring Adam Brody, Leighton Meester, Taran Killam, Olivia Swann, Eve Connolly and Nick Wittman.

Description: Joey (Leighton Meester) and her brother Gray (Taran Killam) embark on a weekend whitewater rafting trip, but Joey quickly senses trouble when Gray's ex-con friend Trevor (Adam Brody) is invited. She never could have guessed their river adventure would go from dangerous to deadly. Stranded in raging rapids, the terrified rafters desperately fight to keep from capsizing into jagged rocks. Amidst the constant chaos and roaring waves, a saboteur might be risking their lives to ensure startling secrets stay buried. Getting out alive will take killer instincts as everyone discovers how far they're willing to go to survive.

Also from Universal is a 4K UHD re-release for Joel and Ethan Coen's The Big Lebowski (1998), starring Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, David Huddleston and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The new release is part of a "Universal Essentials Collection" and features 4K UHD and Blu-ray discs, a collectible booklet, a film cell replica, art cards and certificate of authenticity. A new 4K UHD SteelBook edition will also be available.

Finally from Universal is a 4K UHD upgrade for Baltasar Kormákur's 2 Guns (2013), starring Denzel Washington, Mark Wahlberg, Paula Patton, Edward James Olmos, Bill Paxton and Robert John Burke. Universal's 4K UHD disc features DTS:X audio (with a DTS-HD MA 7.1 core) and HDR. Legacy extras include filmmaker audio commentary, deleted and extended scenes, and a making of featurette. In addition to standard packaging, a Best Buy Exclusive SteelBook will also be available.

New from Cinema Guild is a Blu-ray for Juan Pablo González's Dos Estaciones, starring Teresa Sánchez, Rafaela Fuentes, Tatín Vera and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo.

Description: Winner of a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival, Dos Estaciones follows iron-willed businesswoman María García (Teresa Sánchez), the owner of Dos Estaciones, a once-majestic tequila factory now struggling to stay afloat. The factory is the final holdover from generations of Mexican-owned tequila plants in the highlands of Jalisco, the rest having folded to foreign corporations. Once one of the wealthiest people in town, María knows her current financial situation is untenable. When a persistent plague and an unexpected flood cause irreversible damage, she is forced to do everything she can to save her community's primary economy and source of pride.

Cinema Guild's Blu-ray of Dos Estaciones contains a filmmaker Q&A from New Directors/New Films at the Museum of Modern Art (Blu-ray Exclusive), four short films by González: The Solitude of Memory (2014), La Espera (2016), Las Nubes (2017) and Caballerango (2018) and the film's theatrical trailer. A booklet is also included, along with alternate artwork.

Finally for new releases this week, Shout Factory has a Blu-ray for 's Assault on Hill 400, starring William Baldwin, Eric Roberts, Michael Madsen and Bob Bozek.

Description: On November 14, 1944, the 2nd Ranger Battalion is tasked with laying siege to the German town of Bergstein, and its highly prized strategic position — Hill 400. Providing the Third Reich with high ground for its punishing artillery units, the Hill must be taken ... at all costs.

Shout also has a 4K UHD upgrade for Clive Barker's Nightbreed (1990), starring Craig Sheffer, David Cronenberg, Anne Bobby, Charles Haid, Hugh Quarshie and Hugh Ross. Newly remastered from a "2023 4K scan of the best surviving film elements", Shout presents the theatrical cut of Nightbreed with DTS-HD MA 2.0 or 5.1 audio and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Two additional Blu-rays feature the director's cut of the film and a dedicated bonus features disc. Legacy extras include audio commentary on the theatrical cut with film critics Adrian J. Smith And David Flint (on 4K UHD and Blu-ray), audio commentary on the director's cut with Clive Barker and restoration producer Mark Allan Miller, and copious video extras, including a feature-length documentary, various interviews and featurettes, deleted scenes, still galleries and more.

Staying with catalog titles, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has two 4K UHD upgrades available this week. First up is Elia Kazan's East of Eden (1955), starring James Dean, Julie Harris, Raymond Massey, Burl Ives, Richard Davalos and Jo Van Fleet. Newly remastered, Warner presents East of Eden with HDR and a choice of Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD MA 5.1 or original DTS-HD MA 2.0 audio. Also from Warner is Howard Hawks' Rio Bravo (1959), starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan and Ward Bond. Newly remastered, Warner presents Rio Bravo with HDR and DTS-HD MA 2.0 Mono audio. Extras on this single-disc 4K UHD release are limited to a legacy audio commentary with filmmaker John Carpenter and critic Richard Schickel. Coming to 4K UHD from Paramount Home Media Distribution is John Hughes' Ferris Bueller's Day Off (1986), starring Matthew Broderick, Alan Ruck, Mia Sara, Jeffrey Jones, Jennifer Grey and Cindy Pickett. Newly remastered, Paramount presents Ferris Bueller's Day Off with Dolby Vision HDR and a Dolby Atmos remix. Extras include legacy audio commentary with John Hughes, as well as the five featurettes from previous Blu-ray editions. In addition to standard packaging, a SteelBook edition will also be available.

Finally this week, Oscilloscope Laboratories has a Blu-ray release for Mark Pellington's Going All the Way (1997), starring Jeremy Davies, Ben Affleck, Amy Locane, Rachel Weisz, Rose McGowan and Jill Clayburgh. Oscilloscope presents a new director's cut of the film, along with a making of documentary, Nick Offerman callback, press reel, deleted scenes, theatrical trailer and more.
