This is something new for Blu-ray: last week, two comedies topped the BD sales chart, according to data from Nielsen VideoScan First Alert. Paramount/Dreamworks' 'I Love You, Man' was number 1, followed by Warner/New Line's '17 Again'. The previous week's top-seller, 'Fast & Furious', dropped to number 4.

Here is the Blu-ray top 10 (previous-week ranking in parenthesis):
  1. • I Love You, Man
  2. • 17 Again
  3. (3) Watchmen
  4. (1) Fast & Furious
  5. (2) Race to Witch Mountain
  6. (5) Coraline
  7. (r) Batman Begins
  8. (r) Blow
  9. (r) V for Vendetta
  10. (r) Tim Burton's Corpse Bride
The reentry in the charts of the titles in places 7 to 10 was undoubtedly related to price drops they had during the week.

Regarding BD market share for new releases, 'I Love You, Man' got 12%, whereas '17 Again' only managed 6%. Apparently R-rated comedies work better on BD than PG-13 ones.

Overall, BD sales revenue was $15.75 million, up 230.79% from the same week last year. DVD sales revenue was $129.88 million, down 15.34% year-on-year.

Blu-ray accounted for 10.8% of total packaged-media sales revenue.
