HollywoodinHiDef.com is reporting that Buena Vista Home Entertainment will
release Pixar's
Cars for Blu-ray on November 6th. This title was delayed from
June as director John Lasseter wanted to be very hands on with this release
(and at that time he was busy completing
Ratatouille). Now it appears
that the delay will be worth it with John supervising everything from the AVC
encoding to the special "Car Finder" BD-J extra.
"Car Finder" will challenge users to find more than 200 different cars featured
in the film. Users can also race against the clock to find different cars in a
freeze frame from the movie. And of course, details of each make and model
will be accessible on the disc. The Blu-ray release will also feature all the
extras from last years DVD release.
