For the week that ended on May 20th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its debut. The 31st film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and third film in the Ant-Man franchise follows the titular character as he and his family are transported to the Quantum Realm, where they encounter the exiled Kang the Conqueror. The film opened in February 2023 and is the first film in Marvel's Phase Five slate of films. It received mixed reviews, but lived up to expectations at the box office, with the best opening weekend in the Ant-Man series en route to a domestic total of over $213 million and over $475 million globally so far. This week, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania had an HD share of 69% and 32% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Debuting in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Lionsgate Home Entertainment's Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre. The latest collaboration between director Guy Ritchie and star Jason Statham has had a turbulent road to release. Filmed in 2021, the project was originally set for release by STX Entertainment in early 2022, but was then pulled from the schedule after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, because the film features Ukrainian villains. Later that year, STX's distribution operations ceased, and the film was thought to be headed to a streaming service (as it did in the UK), even as it saw a theatrical release internationally. However, Lionsgate picked up the film in February 2023 for a hurried theatrical release less than a month later. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the film has only grossed some $6 million at the domestic box office, but internationally, things are a bit brighter, with over $31 million so far. This week, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre sold 16% as many Blu-ray units as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, with an HD share of 63% and 25% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

And dropping to third place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Paramount Home Media Distribution's Yellowstone: Season 5. The saga of the Dutton family clearly resonates with disc buyers, as Yellowstone: Season 4 was the top disc seller on its release back in March 2022, though on Blu-ray, it placed second to The Matrix Resurrections. However, fans were recently dealt something of a blow when it emerged that Season 5 would be the final season, with star Kevin Costner departing and a new spinoff series, led by Matthew McConaughey, taking its place. This week, Yellowstone: Season 5 sold 10% as many Blu-ray units as Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, with an HD share of 17%.

Elsewhere on the charts, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's release of Max Fleischer's Superman (1941-1943) debuted at No. 5 on the Blu-ray-only chart, while 88 Films' Blu-ray box set of In the Line of Duty: I - IV (1985-1989) debuted at No. 7. Paramount's remake of The Italian Job (2003), which was released on 4K UHD this week, came in at No. 9 on the Blu-ray-only chart and easily topped the UHD Market Share chart for the week, with 99% of units sold from the 4K UHD format. Meanwhile, Paramount's Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - Season One, which was released on Blu-ray in March and was issued this week in a 4K UHD SteelBook as a limited edition (with a standard 4K UHD release set for June 6th) came in at No. 10 on the Blu-ray-only chart and took second place on the UHD Market Share chart, with 54% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
