For the week of May 22nd, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment will release a Blu-ray and 4K UHD of Michael B. Jordan's Creed III, starring Michael B. Jordan, Tessa Thompson, Jonathan Majors, Wood Harris, Florian Munteanu and Phylicia Rashad.

Studio description: After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) has been thriving in both his career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Jonathan Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian – a fighter who has nothing to lose.

Warner presents Creed III with its Dolby Atmos audio and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include deleted scenes and two featurettes. In addition to standard packaging, including a Best Buy Exclusive SteelBook and a Walmart Exclusive will also be available. Also new from Warner on Blu-ray and 4K UHD is David F. Sandberg's Shazam! Fury of the Gods, starring Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Rachel Zegler, Adam Brody and Ross Butler.

Studio description: From New Line Cinema comes "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," which continues the story of teenage Billy Batson who, upon reciting the magic word "SHAZAM!," is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam.

Warner presents Shazam! Fury of the Gods with its Dolby Atmos audio and Dolby Vision HDR on the 4K UHD disc. Extras include filmmaker commentary, over 30 minutes of alternate, deleted and extended scenes and several featurettes. In addition to standard packaging, a Best Buy Exclusive 4K UHD SteelBook, a Target Exclusive Blu-ray and a Walmart Exclusive 4K UHD will also be available. New this week from RLJE Films is a Blu-ray for V/H/S/99, starring Jesse LaTourette, Dashiell Derrickson, Verona Blue, Melissa Macedo, Ally Ioannides and Luke Mullen.

Description: In V/H/S/99, a thirsty teenager's home video leads to a series of horrifying revelations. Featuring five new stories from filmmakers Maggie Levin, Johannes Roberts, Flying Lotus, Tyler MacIntyre and Joseph & Vanessa Winter, V/H/S/99 harkens back to the final punk rock analog days of VHS, while taking one giant leap forward into the hellish new millennium.

RLJE Films' Blu-ray of V/H/S/99 contains filmmaker commentary, an exclusive panel from Reedpop's New York Comic Con, deleted scenes, blooper and more. In addition to standard packaging, a Walmart Exclusive SteelBook will also be available.

New on Blu-ray from the Criterion Collection is Céline Sciamma's Petite maman, starring Joséphine Sanz, Gabrielle Sanz, Nina Meurisse, Stéphane Varupenne and Margot Abascal.

Description: Céline Sciamma's follow-up to Portrait of a Lady on Fire transcends time and space to weave a delicately emotional fable about grief, family, and connection across generations. In the wake of her grandmother's death, eight-year-old Nelly (Joséphine Sanz) accompanies her distraught mother (Nina Meurisse) to her childhood home. There, Nelly's encounter with another young girl (Gabrielle Sanz) brings mother and daughter together in a way neither could have ever imagined. Evoking childhood's perpetual state of wonder through luminous, richly textured images, Petite maman takes viewers on a journey inward for a quietly miraculous tale of emotional time travel.

Criterion's Blu-ray of Petite maman contains a new conversation between Sciamma and filmmaker Joachim Trier, trailers and Claude Barras' Oscar-nominated stop-motion animated film My Life as a Zucchini (Ma vie de Courgette) (2016), which was co-written by Sciamma.

New on Blu-ray from Well Go USA is Ernesto Díaz Espinoza's The Fist of the Condor (El puño del cóndor), starring Marko Zaror, Gina Aguad, Eyal Meyer, Man Soo Yoon and Fernanda Urrejola.

Description: Upon the empire's fall to invading conquistadors, the 16th-century Incas quickly concealed a sacred manual containing the secrets behind their deadly fighting technique. But after centuries of careful safeguarding, the manual is again at risk of falling into the wrong hands, leaving its rightful guardian to battle the world's greatest assassins to protect the ancient secrets within.

Well Go USA's Blu-ray of The Fist of the Condor contains a behind-the-scenes featurette and a trailer.

New on Blu-ray from IFC Films is Christopher Smith's Consecration, starring Jena Malone, Danny Huston, Thoren Ferguson, Will Keen, Ian Pirie and Janet Suzman,

Description: After the suspicious death of her brother, a priest (Danny Huston), Grace (Jena Malone) goes to the Mount Saviour Convent to find out what really happened. Once there, she uncovers murder, sacrilege and a disturbing truth about her own past.

New on Blu-ray from Vertical Entertainment is Malachi Smyth's Last Sentinel, starring Kate Bosworth, Lucien Laviscount, Martin McCann and Thomas Kretschmann.

Description: Set in the near future, a skeleton crew of soldiers is stranded at sea on an abandoned military outpost awaiting the arrival of reinforcements or an enemy invasion, whichever comes first.

Coming from FilmMovement is a Blu-ray for Shôhei Imamura's Warm Water Under a Red Bridge (赤い橋の下のぬるい水) (2001), starring Kôji Yakusho, Misa Shimizu, Katsuo Nakamura, Isao Natsuyagi, Mansaku Fuwa, Kazuo Kitamura and Mitsuko Baishô.

Description: Brimming with magical realism, sensuality, and humor, the final film by revered filmmaker Shohei Imamura is "an enlightening, even liberating, experience" (Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times) that tells the story of Yosuke Sasano, an unemployed salaryman who arrives in a remote fishing village following a rumor of hidden treasure. Instead, he meets Saeko Aizawa, a charming and unusual woman with a unique problem: a well of warm water inside her longing for release. Saeko faces both shame and adoration for her condition, which the local anglers believe feeds the river and its fish. Intrigued and enamored, Yosuke decides to take up a new life as a fisherman. Through their passionate affair, Imamura paints a picture of longing, fantasy, and the search for true happiness in the most unexpected of places that's both "nonchalantly freaky and uncommonly pleasurable" (Michael Atkinson, The Village Voice).

Film Movement's Blu-ray of Warm Water Under a Red Bridge contains Messy and Juicy - a video essay by author and film curator Tom Vick, and a 16-page illistrated booklet with new essay by film scholar and writer Hwang Kyunmin.

Finally on Tuesday, Shout Factory has a 4K UHD upgrade for Christophe Gans' Brotherhood of the Wolf (Le Pacte des loups) (2001), starring Samuel Le Bihan, Vincent Cassel, Émilie Dequenne, Monica Bellucci, Jérémie Renier and Mark Dacascos. Shout presents the director's cut of the film, which has a new 4K master supervised by Gans and a new Dolby Atmos audio mix in the original French, with English subtitles. An English dub is also included, as is a remastered Blu-ray and a second Blu-ray with extras, including The Guts of the Beast, The Making of Brotherhood of the Wolf, deleted scenes and more.

Finally this week, Friday sees a Blu-ray release from Opus Arte of the Royal Opera's new version of Handel's oratorio Theodora (2022), starring Julia Bullock, Joyce Didonato, Jakub Józef Orliński, Ed Lyon, Gyula Orendt and Thando Mjandana.

Description: Julia Bullock, Joyce DiDonato and Jakub Józef Orliński star in Katie Mitchell's thrilling new production of Handel's Theodora. in an alternative modern-day reality, Theodora, a religious fundamentalist, plots for the resistance against the Roman occupation. But when her secret plan to destroy the Roman embassy is discovered, she learns the true brutality of her oppressors.

Not heard in Covent Garden since its 1750 premiere and sung in the original English libretto by Thomas Morell, Theodora is a tour de force for soloists and chorus alike, with ensembles, duets and arias of profound depth and beauty. This new interpretation, conducted by Baroque specialist Harry Bicket, shines a new, feminist light on the story.

Opus Arte presents Theodora with English: LPCM 2.0 and DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio tracks. Optional English, French, German, Japanese and Korean subtitles are provided.
