Sandpiper Pictures plans to add three new titles to its Blu-ray catalog. They are:
Lawman (1971),
Scorpio (1973), and
One Man's Hero (1999). The three titles are scheduled to arrive on the market on June 13.
Lawman
Description: During a drunken spree in the small Wild West town of Bannock, one of a half-dozen workers from a nearby ranch accidentally shoots an innocent man. Bannock's marshal, a righteous man named Jered Maddox (Burt Lancaster), comes to the larger town of Sabbath bearing the dead body of one of the revelers and demands the surrender of the remaining five from sheriff Cotton Ryan (Robert Ryan) and ranch owner Vincent Bronson (Lee J. Cobb), starting a confrontation that threatens to engulf them all.
Scorpio
Description: Cross (Burt Lancaster) is an experienced assassin for the CIA who decides he's quitting the business. When he announces his intentions, however, the CIA decides they'd rather have him dead than retired. They assign Scorpio (Alain Delon), a French assassin whom Cross has mentored for years, to do the job. A complicated game of cat and mouse follows, during which Cross relies on his many contacts and years of experience to elude the man he's taught everything he knows.
One Man's Hero
Description: In 1848, Jon Riley (Tom Berenger) heads a group of Irish-born Roman Catholic soldiers in the U.S. Army. The group faces religious prejudice in the predominantly Protestant military. In the midst of the war against Mexico, Riley and some of his fellow soldiers go to a Catholic church and are cruelly punished as a result. Because of this, they defect to the Mexican Army, where they meet guerrilla leader Cortina (Joaquim de Almeida), with whom they forge an unlikely bond.
