For the week of April 17th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will release Elizabeth Banks' Cocaine Bear, starring Keri Russell, Alden Ehrenreich, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Ray Liotta, Isiah Whitlock Jr. and Brooklynn Prince.
Studio description: Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner's plane crash, missing cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild dark comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, tourists and teens converging in a Georgia forest where a 500- pound apex predator has ingested a staggering amount of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for more blow … and blood.
Universal's Blu-ray of Cocaine Bear contains a DTS-HD MA 7.1 audio track. Extras include audio commentary by Elizabeth Banks and producer Max Handelman, deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel, an alternate ending and three featurettes. Reviewer Martin Liebman gives the Blu-ray five stars for picture and sound quality, saying: "The image (cocaine) bears much fruit for crispness and textural efficiency, boasting ample clarity and definition to faces, landscape, and gory wounds. New on Blu-ray from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment is Steven Soderbergh's Magic Mike's Last Dance, starring Channing Tatum, Salma Hayek, Ayub Khan-Din, Vicki Pepperdine, Gavin Spokes and Alan Cox.
