Rialto Pictures has provided us with an official domestic trailer for the new 4K restoration of Dino Risi's classic comedy A Difficult Life (1961), starring Alberto Sordi, Lea Massari, Franco Fabrizi, Claudio Gora, and Antonio Centa. The 4K restoration will have its premiere at Film Forum in New York City this February 3.
Also included with this article is an official domestic theatrical poster.
Preliminary plans for an upcoming Blu-ray release have not yet been revealed.
Description: Silvio (Alberto Sordi), a leftist resistance fighter turned journalist, tries to cling to his political convictions while it becomes increasingly difficult to provide for his family. His wife, Elena (Lea Massari), supports his idealism less and less and reproaches him for not wanting to take advantage of the Italian post-war economic miracle. When she leaves him, Silvio tries to win her back by agreeing to a compromise with a rich industrialist.
