As we reported on
our
previous post, a full 36 percent of disc sales of Warner's '
Watchmen'
have been on Blu-ray. This is a record-breaking figure, even for action movies.
For example, back in September 2008, '
Iron Man' got "only" 17% of its
sales from Blu-ray. The previous BD percentage record was for '
Quantum of
Solace', released March 24, 2009, which got 28%.
This feat is all the more remarkable if we consider that the DVD had both one-
and two-disc editions, and that an
Ultimate Collector's Edition Blu-
ray has been announced for later this year.
