For the week that ended on August 27th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Jurassic World: Dominion topped both the Blu-ray only and overall packaged media charts for the second week in a row. The third film the Jurassic World trilogy (and sixth film in the Jurassic Park franchise) began filming in February 2020 for a June 2021 release. However, in March 2020, filming was put on hold when the coronavirus pandemic struck much of the Western world. Filming would eventually resume in July 2020 with the aid of an entire hotel that Universal rented for the production to use as a "bubble", making Jurassic World: Dominion one of the first films to resume production after the pandemic began. Filming was eventually completed in November 2020 and post-production meant that it was not completed until November 2021. Along with the return of Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm, The film also marked the return of actors Sam Neil and Laura Dern as paleontologists Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler, the two leads in the original Jurassic Park, making Jurassic World: Dominion the first time in almost thirty years that all three characters had been in the same film. Despite this casting coup, reviews for the film have been largely negative, but that hasn't stopped it from grossing over $375 million domestically and an impressive $619 million internationally, for a grand total of over $994 million worldwide so far. This week, Jurassic World: Dominion had an HD share of 60% and 16% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Debuting in second place on the Blu-ray-only chart is Crunchyroll's My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission (僕のヒーローアカデミア THE MOVIE ワールドヒーローズミッション). The third feature film in the My Hero Academia franchise was released in its native Japan back in August 2021 and quickly became the highest grossing film of the series there, eventually grossing over $29 million in Japan alone. In the United States, the film premiered in late October 2021, pulling in a respectable $6.4 million on its opening weekend. Altogether, the film has grossed over $46 million worldwide. This week, My Hero Academia: World Heroes' Mission sold 25% as many Blu-ray units as Jurassic World: Dominion, with a perfect HD share of 100%.

Dropping to third place on the Blu-ray-only chart in its third week is Paramount Home Media Distribution's Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The sequel to the surprise 2020 hit film was shot in 2021 and opened in April 2022 to generally positive reviews. The film topped the box office in its opening weekend with over $72 million and ended up grossing over $190 million domestically and over $401 million worldwide so far, already more than its predecessor made in total. This week, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 sold 13% as many Blu-ray units as Jurassic World: Dominion, with an HD share of 46% and 8% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.
