British label Third Window Films has revealed that it is preparing a Blu-ray release of Nobuhiko Ôbayashi's film The Island Closest to Heaven (1984), starring Miyoko Akaza, Tomoyo Harada, Wakaba Irie, Shigeru Izumiya, and Nenji Kobayashi. The release will arrive on the market later this year.
