MGM Home Entertainment in conjunction with 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment have announced the technical specs for the upcoming Blu-ray release of '
Stargate Atlantis Fan's Choice', which is currently scheduled to hit store shelves on August 4th. The disc, which features the feature-length pilot "Rising" and an extended version of the series finale "Enemy at the Gate", will be presented on a BD-50 in 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack.
Over 20,000 fans logged onto the Stargate Atlantis fan site in order vote on which episodes would be included on the one-of-a-kind Blu-ray release, as well as its cover art. The result is a truly unique disc that was designed by consumers from start to finish.
