For the week of June 27th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has a 4K UHD and Blu-ray for David Yates' Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Dan Fogler, Alison Sudol, and Jude Law. The third film in the Fantastic Beasts film series and eleventh in the Wizarding World franchise opened in April 2022 to mixed reviews. Although it topped the box office in its opening weekend with some $42 million and an eventual haul of over $95 million domestically and $401 million globally, those totals are the lowest for any film in the Wizarding World franchise, with the caveat that the film was delayed several times and opened during the coronavirus pandemic. Warner Bros.' disc releases feature the film's Dolby Atmos audio, while the 4K UHD disc also features Dolby Vision HDR. In addition to standard packaging, retailer exclusives include a Best Buy Exclusive 4K UHD SteelBook, a Target Exclusive 4K UHD and Target Exclusive Blu-ray and a Walmart Exclusive 4K UHD and a Walmart Exclusive Blu-ray. New on Blu-ray this week from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment is Keith Thomas' Firestarter (2022), starring Zac Efron, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Sydney Lemmon, Michael Greyeyes, and Gloria Reuben.

Description: Protected by her parents (Efron and Lemmon), Charlie (Armstrong) has lived her childhood on the run and has kept her extraordinary pyrokinetic powers in check. But now that she's turning 11, the flames are harder to control, and sinister forces are seeking to capture her. Charlie must learn to embrace the fire from within and fight to control it in order to protect her family and freedom.

Extras for Universal's Blu-ray of Firestarter include director's commentary, deleted and extended scenes, a gag reel, and four featurettes.

Also from Universal this week is a Blu-ray for The A-Team: The Complete Series (1983-1987). The 21-disc set contains all 5 seasons and 90 episodes of the series.

New this week from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment on Blu-ray is Eva Husson's Mothering Sunday, starring Olivia Colman, Colin Firth, Josh O'Connor, Odessa Young, and Sope Dirisu.

Studio description: On a warm spring day in 1924, housemaid and foundling Jane Fairchild (Odessa Young) finds herself alone on Mother's Day. Her employers, Mr. and Mrs. Niven (Colin Firth and Olivia Colman), are out and she has the rare chance to spend quality time with her secret lover. Paul (Josh O'Connor) is the boy from the manor house nearby, Jane's long-term love despite the fact that he's engaged to be married to another woman, a childhood friend and daughter of his parents' friends. But events that neither can foresee will change the course of Jane's life forever.

Finally for new releases, Strand Releasing has a Blu-ray for Tom Dolby's The Artist's Wife, starring Lena Olin, Bruce Dern, and Avan Jogia.

Description: Claire (Academy Award Nominee Lena Olin) lives a quiet domestic life in the Hamptons as the wife of celebrated artist Richard Smythson (Academy Award Nominee Bruce Dern). Once a promising painter herself, Claire now lives in the shadow of her husband's illustrious career. While preparing work for his final show, Richard's moods become increasingly erratic, and he is diagnosed with dementia. As his memory and behavior deteriorate, she shields his condition from the art community while trying to reconnect him with his estranged daughter and grandson from a previous marriage. Challenged by the loss of her world as she knew it, Claire must now decide whether to stand with Richard on the sidelines or step into the spotlight herself.

Turning tocatalog titles, Kino Lorber has a 4K UHD upgrade for Stanley Kubrick's Killer's Kiss (1955), starring Frank Silvera, Irene Kane, and Jamie Smith. Now in 4K, film has also been given a new Dolby Vision HDR grade, Extras include a new audio commentary by critic Imogen Sara Smith and the film's theatrical trailer.

Also new on 4K UHD from Kino is Steven Soderbergh's Out of Sight (1998), starring George Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Robinson, Mike Malone, and Steve Zahn. Presented on 4K UHD from a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, Kino's new 4K UHD disc also includes Dolby Vision HDR (supervised by cinematographer Elliot Davis) and an audio commentary with Soderbergh and Scott Frank, while the bundled remastered also Blu-ray contains archival video extras, including two theatrical trailers newly remastered in 2K, deleted scenes and the documentary Inside Out of Sight.

Finally from Kino this week is a Blu-ray release for Rocco Schiavone: Ice Cold Murders Season Two (2018) starring Marco Giallini. The two-disc set contains all 8 episodes from the second season of the crime drama.

Official description: Based on the best-selling series of novels by Antonio Manzini, Rocco Schiavone: Ice Cold Murders is a devilishly entertaining Italian crime series that follows the idiosyncratic adventures of cranky and unorthodox detective Rocco Schiavone (Marco Giallini). Starring Marco Giallini, Claudia Vismara, Ernesto D'Argenio, and Francesco Acquaro. In Italian with English subtitles.

Back in April, Kino released Rocco Schiavone: Ice Cold Murders Season One (2016), a four-disc set with all 12 episodes of the first season. The trailer below reflects that first season.

Finally this week, Arrow Video have a domestic 4K UHD release for Tony Scott's True Romance (1993), starring Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, and Gary Oldman. Presented with new 4K remasters of both the theatrical and director's cuts of the film. Arrow's 4K UHD contains Dolby Vision HDR and a choice of uncompressed stereo or DTS-HD MA 5.1 audio. A glut of new and archival extras, including four audio commentaries (and a fifth new to this release), several new interviews, deleted scenes, featurettes and more are included, while limited edition packaging features reversible artwork. In addition to single-format editions, a Dual Format SteelBook will also be available.
