The Cohen Media Group has dated its upcoming Blu-ray release of the recent 4K restoration of Jacques Deray's classic crime thriller Symphony for a Massacre a.k.a. Symphonie pour un massacre (1963). The release will be available for purchase on August 30.
Synopsis: Four mobsters agree to buy a large load of drugs and later on, after unloading it on the streets, share the profit. But one of them decides to cheat. A classic gangster film with a dream team of stars: Jean Rochefort, Charles Vanel, Claude Dauphin, Michèle Mercier, Daniela Rocca, and former convicted gangster José Giovanni. Cinematography by Claude Renoir (Blood And Roses). 4K restoration from Pathe, completed by Eclair laboratoires and L.E. Diapason, with the financial support of Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC).
