Magnolia Home Entertainment and Blu-ray.com are offering three lucky members the opportunity to win a 4K Blu-ray copy of John Andreas Andersen's action thriller The Burning Sea a.k.a. Nordsjøen (2021), starring Kristine Kujath, Thorp Henrik Bjelland, Rolf Kristian Larsen, and Anders Baasmo Christiansen. The release will be available for purchase on May 24.
To enter, simply add a comment to this news post with your favorite Blu-ray release from Magnolia Home Entertainment's catalog, or all-time favorite disaster movie already out on or Blu-ray. (There are no right or wrong answers.)
The contest is open to all Blu-ray.com members (membership is completely free, click here to join). A member may only enter a giveaway one time; multiple entries in the same contest will result in disqualification. However, members are free to enter (and win) as many contests as the site offers. Official synopsis: In 1969, the Norwegian government announces their discovery of one of the world's largest oil fields in the neighboring North Sea, launching a prosperous period of offshore drilling. 50 years later, the environmental consequences begin to manifest – a crack has opened on the ocean floor, causing a rig to collapse. A team of researchers, including submarine operator Sofia, rushes in to search for the missing and assess the cause of the damage, but what they discover is that this is just the start of a possible apocalyptic catastrophe. As rigs are evacuated, Sofia's loving companion Stian becomes trapped in the depths of the sea, and Sofia must dive in to rescue him. The Burning Sea is the latest disaster epic from the team behind The Quake and The Wave.
