After weeks of speculation, Sony Computer Entertainment has announced that starting tomorrow, July 10th, the
PlayStation 3 (PS3) will be priced at $499, a reduction of $100 from its current price. Additionally, a new 80GB model will be introduced this fall bundled with a copy of the popular off-road racing game MotorStorm. That unit will be priced at $599.
This price cut comes during the 5 Free Blu-ray Movies promotion, meaning consumers can now purchase one of the best Blu-ray players for $100 cheaper, and get 5 movies free.
