Paramount Home Media Distribution plans to bring to Blu-ray Bruce Beresford's
King David (1985), starring Richard Gere, Edward Woodward, Alice Krige, Denis Quilley, and Niall Buggy. Currently, the release is scheduled to arrive on the market on April 26.
Synopsis: David, a young shepherd, uses his intelligence and bravery to become the king of ancient Israel. He becomes anointed by the Prophet Samuel, taking his cues from God, and proves his worthiness by defeating the strong Goliath.
