Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that it will release the baseball film '
Sugar' on Blu-ray on September 1, day-and-date with the DVD. The movie presentation will consist of a 1.78:1 AVC video encode, accompanied by a 5.1 Dolby TrueHD audio track.

This movie is about a young Dominican baseball player who dreams of playing in a US Major League team. It premiered at Sundance Film Festival in January 2009.
