For the week that ended on February 5th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Jason Reitman's film, which follows on from the first two Ghostbusters films directed by his father, Ivan Reitman, was filmed in 2019 for a planned 2020 release, but after the coronavirus pandemic struck, the film was pushed into 2021 and bounced around the calendar a few times before finally opening in November 2021. On its opening weekend, the film topped the box office with $44 million, on its way to over $128 million domestically and over $196 million worldwide. This week, Ghostbusters: Afterlife had an HD share of 65% and 19% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Debuting in second place on the Blu-ray chart is Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Ghostbusters: Ultimate Collection (1984-2021). Available on Blu-ray and 4K UHD, the 4K UHD edition is an eight-disc, three-film collection that includes Ghostbusters, Ghostbusters II, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife on 4K UHD and Blu-ray, along with two Blu-ray discs of special features, all housed in collectible "ghost trap" packaging with lights. This week, Ghostbusters: Ultimate Collection sold 18% as many Blu-ray units as Ghostbusters: Afterlife, with an HD share of 70% and 23% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Dune (2021) remained on top of both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts in its third week. Previously adapted for the screen in 1984 by David Lynch, Villeneuve's adaptation of the 1965 novel by Frank Herbert was made over a three-year period and intended to be a late 2020 release. However, once the coronavirus pandemic struck, the film, which has a $165 million budget, had to be moved. Ultimately, Dune would be released in a staggered international rollout in September and October 2021. When it opened domestically, the film topped the box office for two weeks, pulling in $41 million on its opening weekend and ultimately grossing over $107 million, with a global box office of over $399 million so far. This week, Dune sold 15% as many Blu-ray units as Ghostbusters: Afterlife, with an HD share of 70% and 25% of units sold from the 4K UHD format.

Elsewhere on the charts, a new release from RLJE Films, the adult animated fantasy The Spine of Night, topped the UHD chart for the week, with 41% of units sold from the 4K UHD format. The 4K UHD edition of the film was released in SteelBook packaging.
