Disneynature, the Walt Disney Company's label specialized in big-screen nature documentaries, is set to release its first Blu-ray on September 1, day-and-date with the DVD: the BBC documentary feature '
Earth'. Video will be presented in 1.78:1 1080p, and audio will be 48 kHz/24 bit DTS-HD Master Audio.
Special features will include:

'Earth' was co-directed by Alastair Fothergill, executive producer of the series '
Planet Earth'. It takes the viewer on a journey from the North Pole to the South, focusing on three particular species, the polar bear, the African elephant and the humpback whale. The film reuses much footage from 'Planet Earth'.
Note that the
UK edition, released in March 2008, featured narration by Patrick Stewart, but the US edition is narrated by James Earl Jones.
