Warner Brothers Home Entertainment has announced that they will be bringing
Smallville Season 6 to Blu-ray on September 18th. Oddly enough, it appears Warner may be doing a separate Blu-ray encode for this release as it is 4-discs rather than the 5 required for the HD DVD release. Video will be presented in VC-1 1080p with a Dolby Digital surround sound track.
Oddly enough, 'Smallville Season 5' remains one of the Warner releases they have been continually holding back from Blu-ray. One would think that this would be the perfect opportunity to release Season 5 as well, but we'll have to wait a bit longer to find that out.
