Blu-ray Heads to the Desert

A2 Avalon will author eight Blu-ray titles at their facility in Beirut, becoming the first company to produce Blu-ray titles in the Middle East. The first title from the company, which is the only production house in the region authorized to author Blu-ray titles, will be 'Valkyrie'. All eight titles will contain the option for Arabian subtitles.
Talaat Captan, CEO of A2 Avalon, commented, "Blu-ray sales are increasing constantly [in the Middle East] just like they are everywhere else in the world and we expect Blu-ray to gradually be phased in as the default format. This move puts us are ahead of the game."
