Shout Factory has provided us with an official domestic trailer for Alexey Nuzhny's film Fire a.k.a. No Escapes (2020), starring Konstantin Khabenskiy, Ivan Yankovsky, Anastasia Miloslavskaya, Andrey Smolyakov, and Irina Gorbacheva. The film will be released on Blu-ray on July 20.

Description: Alexey Sokolov commands a team of Aerial Forest Protection Service firefighters. He is a tough, decisive man who will fight ruthlessly for every last tree in the forest. He is used to controlling everything and everyone around him, including his daughter Katya. Katya is dating Roman, a rookie firefighter from Moscow. Initially disapproving of the newcomer, Alexey takes Roman along with his battle-tested team to the scene of a forest fire deep in the Russian interior. As the inferno engulfs everything in its path, Alexey will have to learn to rely on Roman, as the firefighters all band together to save a village and its residents from total destruction.

FIRE is produced by Nikita Mikhalkov's Studio TriTe, the television channel Russia 1, and Central Partnership. In many ways, the film was shot an operation of unprecedented scale and complexity: for instance, the crew filmed genuine forest fires in Krasnoyarsk Territory. However, not a single living tree was harmed in the making of the film: the team bought trees that had already been cut down and used them to construct an extensive forest set.

The film's actors also showed their commitment, performing dangerous stunts without stunt doubles and acting while surrounded by a genuine, blazing fire.

The team benefited from advice from members of the emergency services and Forest Protection Service, which also provided some incredible aircraft for the film: Mi-8 helicopters, Il-62 and An-26 planes, and Be-200 amphibians. The scene showing a forest fire being extinguished using a Be-200 amphibian was captured by six cameras at once.
