Shout Factory and Scream Factory Announce New Summer Releases

Shout Factory and Scream Factory have announced a large slate of new summer releases. Amongst them are: Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001), The Dead Zone (1983), and Little Big League (1994).

Brotherhood of the Wolf

Synopsis: When a mysterious beast ravages the countryside, two unlikely heroes are called in to fight the evil. And now, their battle against dark, unspeakable terror is even more gripping with a daring extended version of the film that showcases more of the breathtaking martial arts action and over four hours of in-depth bonus features. Little Big League

Synopsis: No one knows the game of baseball better than 12-year-old Billy Heywood (Luke Edwards). When he inherits the Minnesota Twins from his grandfather (Jason Robards), he names himself manager in the hopes of turning the beleaguered team's season around. While his players aren't too keen about taking orders from a kid, Billy promises them if they can't get out of last place, he'll fire himself. With the help of pitching coach Mac (John Ashton) and team captain Lou Collins (Timothy Busfield), Billy learns what it takes to run a team of misfits and reminds them all how much fun playing baseball can be. Chamber of Horrors

Synopsis: Prepare yourself for a chilling tale of terror and unspeakable vengeance inside the Chamber Of Horrors. Eight Legged Freaks

Synopsis: What do you get when you cross a toxic waste with a bunch of exotic spiders? Eaten! The townies of Prosperity, Arizona, will all become a screaming smorgasbord if mutated arachnids as big as SUVs have their way in this comedy/horror crowd pleaser whose creators include the producers of Independence Day and Godzilla. Spiders that leap like gazelles, web-spitting spiders, spiders that suck your insides out as if through a straw – they're all among the behemoths conjured up by an inventive effects team.

David Arquette (Scream) heads the two-legged stars, mobilizing the citizenry in a last-ditch fight to survive. Here's hoping they succeed. Otherwise, Prosperity – maybe the world – could be reduced to one giant, uh, website!

Fire

Synopsis: Alexey Sokolov commands a team of Aerial Forest Protection Service FIrefighters. He is a tough, decisive man who will fight ruthlessly for every last tree in the forest. He is used to controlling everything and everyone around him, including his daughter Katya. Katya is dating Roman, a rookie firefighter from Moscow. Initially disapproving of the newcomer, Alexey takes Roman along with his battle-tested team to the scene of a forest fire deep in the Russian interior. As the inferno engulfs everything in its path, Alexey will have to learn to rely on Roman, as the firefighters all band together to save a village and its residents from total destruction.

Ernest & Célestine
