For the week of March 1st, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases Paul W.S. Anderson's film Monster Hunter, starring Milla Jovovich, Ron Perlman, Meagan Good, Tony Jaa, and Diego Boneta. The film adaptation of the long-running Capcom video game series was shot in late 2018 and originally set for a 2020 theatrical release, but it was rescheduled several times due to the coronavirus pandemic. Ultimately, Monster Hunter was released theatrically on December 18th, 2020 and so far, it has made over $14 million. This week, Sony brings the film to 4K UHD Blu-ray combo pack, with Dolby Atmos audio and HDR picture enhancement on the 4K disc. A single-disc Blu-ray is also available. Extras include deleted scenes and three featurettes.

Next this week, Lionsgate Home Entertainment brings to Blu-ray Deon Taylor's thriller Fatale, starring Hilary Swank, Mike Colter, and Michael Ealy. Like Monster Hunter, Fatale was meant to have a theatrical release much earlier in 2020, but was reshuffled and ended up opening on the same date, December 18th. Although the PG-13 Monster Hunter won that opening weekend, Fatale, despite skewing older with an R-rating and being an original property, has nevertheless managed to leg it to over $6 million so far, almost all from the domestic box office. In his review of the disc, Jeffrey Kauffman says: "One of the undeniable strengths of this production is the cinematography by Dante Spinotti, and it is rendered here with often impressive results...the film utilizes some really evocative lighting and grading choices. While typical thriller blues and purples can predominate, as mentioned above, there are some other fairly unusual moments, including an almost pea green sequence with Derrick encountering another character in a kind of underground tunnel. Some of the almost peach colored beachside material also looks really lustrous". Kaufman also praises Lionsgate's DTS-HD MA 5.1 track for its "pleasant surprises" including "floor rumbling LFE". Extras include an alternate ending, an audio commentary with Deon Taylor and Producer Roxanne Avent Taylor and three featurettes.

This week, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment has two new releases. The first is Luke Greenfield's action comedy Half Brothers, starring José Zúñiga, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Hayes Hargrove, Vincent Spano, and Connor Del Rio. Universal released the film, about a Mexican aviation executive who must take a road trip with the American half-brother he never knew existed, in early December, where it made a little over $2 million at the box office. Extras on the disc include an audio commentary with Greenfield, deleted/extended/alternate scenes and featurettes.

Also from Universal this week is Marc Meyers' All My Life, starring Jessica Rothe, Harry Shum Jr., Kyle Allen, Chrissie Fit, and Jay Pharoah. Synopsis: Inspired by the powerful love story that moved an entire nation, All My Life follows the journey of an engaged couple who make the difficult decision to accelerate their wedding in the wake of a devastating discovery.

Finally for new releases this week, keep an eye out for Samuel Goldwyn Films' release of Matteo Garrone's Pinocchio (2019), starring Roberto Benigni, Marine Vacth, Marcello Fonte, and Gigi Proietti. Synopsis: Shot in stunning Italian locations, Matteo Garrone's rich world of mystery and wonder stars Academy Award® winning actor Roberto Benigni as Geppetto, the old woodcarver whose puppet creation, Pinocchio, magically comes to life with dreams of becoming a real boy. Easily led astray, Pinocchio (nine-year-old Federico Ielapi) tumbles from one misadventure to another as he is tricked, kidnapped and chased by bandits through a wonderful world full of imaginative creatures – from the belly of a giant fish, to the Land of Toys and the Field of Miracles.

In catalog news this week, Paramount Home Media Distribution will release Andy Fickman's She's the Man, starring Amanda Bynes, Channing Tatum, Laura Ramsey, Vinnie Jones, and David Cross. Marking the film's 15th Anniversary, the Blu-ray will include several archival extras, including deleted scenes, two audio commentaries and multiple featurettes. Additionally, Paramount will include the disc in their Girls Rule Collection, a 3-disc Blu-ray set releasing this week that will also include Clueless and Mean Girls.

And finally this week, Kino Lorber bring three classic Bob Hope films to Blu-ray. They are Caught in the Draft (1941), Nothing But the Truth (1941) and My Favorite Blonde (1942). All three films are newly remastered and come with new and archival extras, including audio commentaries and theatrical trailers.
