Blu-ray Sales: January 31-February 6: Let Him Go Comes Home at Number One

For the week that ended on February 6th, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Let Him Go topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. Set in the 1960s, the drama stars Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as a married couple who, grieving the death of their own son, venture from Montana to North Dakota to save their grandson from the abusive family his mother has married into. The film was released theatrically in November 2020 and topped the box office in its first weekend, eventually finishing with over $9 million domestically, despite the pandemic wreaking havoc on theatrical exhibition. This week, Let Him Go had an HD share of 79%.

Dropping to second place on both charts in its second week is Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Batman: Soul of the Dragon. The 41st DC Universe Movie is a standalone Batman story, set in the 1970s and featuring Bruce Wayne as a martial arts student who must team up with fellow students defeat a deadly cult. This week, Batman: Soul of the Dragon sold 80% as many units as Let Him Go, with an HD share of 68% and 11% of units sold were from the 4K UHD format.

Finally, dropping to number three on the Blu-ray-only charts in its eighth week is Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Tenet. Christopher Nolan's epic action-adventure has held sway over the home media charts like few others, topping them for five out of the last eight weeks, but this is the first time it has even been as low as third place on the Blu-ray chart, while on the overall packaged media chart, it fell out of the top five for the first time and into tenth place. This week, Tenet sold 48% as many units as Let Him Go, with an HD share of 63% and 25% of units sold were from the 4K UHD format.
