Kino Lorber have detailed their upcoming Blu-ray release of Philippe de Broca's film Le Magnifique a.k.a. The Man From Acapulco (1973), starring Jean-Paul Belmondo, Jacqueline Bisset, Vittorio Caprioli, Monique Tarbès, and Mario David. The release will be available for purchase on June 8.
Synopsis: Spy spoof about a Bond like super spy, who with the help of a beautiful woman battles an Albanian villain with a black Persian cat. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that this is the latest work in progress of a struggling author, whose characters are inspired by the people he meets in his mundane life. Cinematography by René Mathelin (Max and the Junkmen).
