Paramount Home Media Distribution has revealed that it plans to add to its Blu-ray catalog two Robert Redford films:
The Legend of Bagger Vance (2000) and
The Last Castle (2001). The two releases are expected to arrive on the market later this year.
The Legend of Bagger Vance
Synopsis: During the Great Depression, Georgia socialite Adele Invergordon (Charlize Theron) announces a publicity-garnering high-stakes match at her struggling family golf course, featuring the greatest golfers of the era. Once-promising local golfer Rannulph Junuh (Matt Damon), whose career and life were derailed by World War I, is brought in to play alongside the stars, but his game is weak -- until the enigmatic Bagger Vance (Will Smith) offers to coach him back into the great golfer he once was.
The Last Castle
Synopsis: A respected and decorated general's career ends in disgrace when he disobeys orders and is sent to a maximum-security prison dubbed the Castle. Perceiving the injustice at work within the prison system, he rallies his fellow convicts into a rag-tag army and mounts a revolt against the autocratic warden, who runs the institution with an iron fist.
