For the week that ended on November 14th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Mulan (2020) again topped both the Blu-ray-only and overall packaged media charts. The film, an adaptation of an ancient Chinese tale about a girl who goes into battle disguised as a male, is one of Disney's many recent live-action remakes of its classic and hit animated films of the 20th century. It was initially planned to have a worldwide theatrical release in late March 2020, but after a gala Hollywood premiere, the coronavirus pandemic hit in mid-March and scuppered those plans. Instead, Mulan debuted as a Premium VOD title in September, in conjunction with a limited theatrical release overseas. Then, in a matter of days last month, Disney both announced and released the film on home video, including Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray. In spite of its unusual release, enthusiasm for Mulan on Blu-ray certainly hasn't been dampened even in its second week, with the remake garnering an HD share of 58% and 11% of units sold being in the 4K UHD format.

In second place on the Blu-ray charts is a new release from Disney, The New Mutants. The film, which was initially produced by 20th Century Fox, had a troubled journey to the screen and was eventually released theatrically by Disney in August 2020, becoming one of the few major studio films released during the pandemic. The New Mutants sold 81% as many units as Mulan and had an HD share of 67%, with 25% of units sold being in the 4K UHD format.

Finally, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's 1917 moved up sixteen spots and claimed the number three spot on the Blu-ray-only charts. The World War II drama from Academy Award-winning director Sam Mendes was originally released in March and topped the Blu-ray charts back then, and came in third place in early November, too. 1917 sold 52% as many units as Mulan, with an HD market share of 63%, of which 44% came from the UHD BD edition.
