Kino Lorber have revealed that they are preparing a Blu-ray release of Douglas Sirk's
Battle Hymn (1957), starring Rock Hudson, Martha Hyer, Dan Duryea, Don DeFore, Jock Mahoney, and Carl Benton Reid. Currently, the release is set to arrive on the market in April 2021.
Synopsis: Haunted by a deadly mistake he made as a World War II bomber pilot, Reverend Dean Hess (Rock Hudson) re-enlists at the beginning of the Korean War despite the pleas of his faithful wife, Mary (Martha Hyer). In South Korea, Hess takes command of a training base where his easygoing old friend Dan Skidmore (Don DeFore) is among the officers. Amidst increasing danger from enemy bombardment, Hess and local woman En Soon Yang (Anna Kashfi) try to protect the area's growing refugee orphan population.
