For the week that ended on October 24th, Universal Studios Home Entertainment's Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only sales charts. The beloved action comedy series starring Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown was recently remastered and released by Universal over several Blu-ray editions, including, for the first time, a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release. Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy had an amazing HD share of 96% and in news that will surely be celebrated by fans of the 4K format, a whopping 80% of units sold were in the UHD Blu-ray format.

Next on the Blu-ray sales chart, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Batman: Death in the Family holds onto second place, where it debuted last week. Billed as WBHE's first ever interactive release, the collection of five tales from the DC canon centers on its title story, which first appeared in the comics in 1988 and was originally accompanied by a phone vote for readers to decide the fate of Jason Todd, the then-current Robin. The Blu-ray offers a new generation of viewers the opportunity to decide Robin's fate by using their remote controls to advance the story. Batman: Death in the Family sold 37% as many units as Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy and had a perfect HD market share of 100%.

Finally, in third place with Halloween not too far off is Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Hocus Pocus. The 1993 family horror comedy seems unstoppable this month, especially as it became one of the latest catalog films to receive a 4K UHD upgrade from Disney earlier this year. Hocus Pocus sold 37% as many units as Back to the Future: The Ultimate Trilogy, with an HD market share of 23%, of which 5% came from the UHD format.
