For the week that ended on October 10th, Walt Disney Home Entertainment's
Hocus Pocus took the number-one spots on both the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales charts for the second week in a row. Disney's spooky family comedy recently became one of the latest catalog films to receive a 4K UHD upgrade, and it continues to flex its video muscle across formats this Halloween season. This week,
Hocus Pocus had an HD market share of 30% and 4K accounted for 7% of units sold.
Next on the Blu-ray-only chart is Paramount Home Media Distribution's
Star Trek: Picard - Season One. Available in both
standard and
SteelBook editions, the Blu-ray includes all 10 episodes from the series' first season, and over two hours of extras, including the
Star Trek: Short Treks episode "Children of Mars".
Star Trek: Picard - Season One had an HD market share of 56% and sold 99% as many units as
Hocus Pocus.
In third place on the Blu-ray chart is a new release from Shout Factory,
Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna. The anime film, the latest in the long-running
Digimon franchise, had a spectacular 95% HD market share and sold 76% as many units as
Hocus Pocus.
