StudioCanal will add two new titles to its Vintage Classics collection: J. Lee Thompson's Yield to the Night (1956) and Sidney Hayers'Circus of Horrors (1960). The two releases will be available for purchase this October.
Yield to the Night
Synopsis: Based on the real-life case of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain. Mary Price Hilton (Diana Dors) is a condemned murderess about to face the hangman's noose. As she awaits the sentence, she relives the series of events that have brought her to this situation. Abused by men all her life, she thinks she's finally met the right man, only to discover that he too has been taking advantage of her. Finally reaching breaking point, she exacts deadly revenge on her husband's mistress. Starring Diana Dors, Yvonne Mitchell, Michael Craig, Marie Ney, and Olga Lindo.
Circus of Horrors
Synopsis: When one of his operations results in disfigurement, plastic surgeon Dr. Schuler (Anton Diffring) flees to France. After he successfully operates on young Nicole (Carla Challoner), her father, Vanet (Donald Pleasence), lets him join the circus he owns. Vanet dies and Schuler takes over, expanding his roster of performers with female criminals he operates on. If the girls try to flee, Schuler arranges for their seemingly accidental deaths during performances, drawing large, morbid crowds.
