Upcoming Scream Factory/Shout Factory Blu-ray Releases

Scream Factory and Shout Factory will add five new releases to their Blu-ray catalog. They are: Motel Hell (1980), Pumpkinhead (1988), Adaptation (2002), Terror in the Aisles (1984), and The Wonderland (2019).

Pumpkinhead SteelBook Edition

Synopsis: When a group of teenagers inadvertently kill his only son, Ed Harley (Lance Henriksen, Aliens) seeks the powers of a backwoods witch to bring the child back to life. But instead, she invokes "Pumpkinhead" – a monstrously clawed demon which, once reborn, answers only to Ed's bloodlust. Adaptation

Synopsis: Director Spike Jonze delivers a stunningly original comedy that seamlessly blends fictional characters and situations with the lives of real people: obsessive orchid hunter John Laroche (Chris Cooper), journalist and author Susan Orlean (Meryl Streep), Hollywood screenwriter Charlie Kaufman (Nicolas Cage), and his twin brother Donald (also Cage). As Charlie struggles to adapt Orlean's best-selling book The Orchid Thief, he writes himself into his own movie. The various stories crash into one another, exploding into a wildly imaginative film. Adaptation, 2002's most-talked about movie, is at once a hilarious drama and a moving comedy.

The Wonderland

Synopsis: On the day before her birthday, young Akane meets the mysterious alchemist Hippocrates who brings her through a basement and into a fantastical world full of magic and color. Though things seem peaceful on the surface, he reveals this world is in danger and as the destined Goddess of the Green Wind, it is Akane's responsibility to bring back the rain and save this world from the terror known as Zan Gu. Joining Akane on her journey is Pipo, an alchemist in training, and her adventurous Aunt Chii. The only problem? Akane just wants to go home.
