Exclusive News: Immortal Beloved Special Features

As promised, we have some exclusive news on the upcoming Blu-ray title 'Immortal Beloved' in celebration of the one year anniversary of Blu-ray. The title, due to be released August 21st, will make use of Blu-ray's storage capability and feature all three language tracks (English, French, and German) in lossless TrueHD. For those of you who have 2.35 screen capability, there will be a special feature that allows you to adjust the position of the English subs into the frame.
Previous releases had featured up to two lossless audio tracks, but this will be the first time that a feature includes three and all in stunning TrueHD. The subtitle feature is for people using home projectors with 2.35 screen capability. These setups cut off the top and bottom black bars of 2.35:1 content to replicate a theatrical presentation. This would, unfortunately, cut off the subtitles as well. This new feature, presented for the first time, will allow the position of the subtitles to be moved into frame so that they will not be cut off.
The subtitle feature, like many others, was requested by users on web forums and read by Sony representatives. They took these ideas back to the right people and got them implemented into new discs. Blu-ray is your format, and if you have an idea on how it can be improved, visit our Insider's Thread in our Forum to make a suggestion.
