British label Nucleus Films has provided us with the official cover art for its upcoming Blu-ray release of Pasquale Festa Campanile's film The Libertine (1968), starring Catherine Spaak, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Gigi Proietti, Fabienne Dali, and Renzo Montagnani. The label has also confirmed that the release will be available for purchase in September.
Synopsis: A sexy widow (Spaak, Il Sorpasso) accidentally discovers that her late husband had a secret apartment where he cheated on her. Now she decides to use the same apartment to explore her own sexuality with a kinky doctor (Trintignant, The Conformist). Cinematography by Alfio Contini (Il Sorpasso). Soundtrack by Armando Trovajoli (Ugly, Dirty and Bad). NEW RESTORATION.
