Scorpion Releasing: Trick Baby Detailed for Blu-ray

Scorpion Releasing has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray release of Larry Yust's crime thriller Trick Baby a.k.a. The Double Con (1972), starring Kiel Martin, Mel Stewart, Dallas Edward Hayes, Beverly Ballard, and Vernee Watson. Currently, the release is set to arrive on the market on August 25. Synopsis: Synopsis: The son of a black prostitute and a white client, Johnny "Folks" O'Brien (Kiel Martin) spends his childhood in the ghetto hearing the hateful name "trick baby," only to realize as an adult just how useful it is to pass for white. Together with his mentor, con man "Blue" Howard (Mel Stewart), Folks succeeds in ripping off many of Philadelphia's wealthy whites with a clever diamond scam. The streak ends, however, when his latest victim turns out to be the father of a local Mafioso. Cinematography by Isidore Mankofsky (The Jazz Singer, Better Off Dead). Soundtrack by James Bond.
