Kino Lorber will add two new titles to their Blu-ray catalog:
The Red Ball Express (1952) and
Raid On Rommel (1971). The two releases will be available for purchase on August 18.
The Red Ball Express
Tense World War II tale based on the true story of a special truck convoy created to transport urgent supplies to General Patton's army situated inside German-occupied France.
Charles Drake (No Name on the Bullet) and screen great Sidney Poitier (Lilies of the Field). During the height of the war, General Patton's Third Army is in desperate need of supplies after a successful invasion of Paris. Raid On Rommel
Alex Foster (Richard Burton), a captain in the British navy, heads to the Libyan seaport of Tobruk during World War II. The city, which offers access to important trade routes, has been taken over by the Germans, and Foster goes undercover as a Nazi to reunite with British soldiers being held behind enemy lines and lead them to seize control of the port. When Foster discovers the soldiers are in fact sick POWs, he must find a way to lead the unhealthy men in a successful mission anyway. Directed by Henry Hathaway.
