For the week that ended on May 16th, Warner Home Entertainment's Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) debuted at the number-one spot on both the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. The Harley Quinn-centric spin-off to the controversial 2016 actioner Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey struggled to connect with both critics and audiences. The film scored okay reviews (it has a 60% approval rating on Metacritic), and it grossed $82 million at the domestic box office on top of its estimated $82-100-million production budget. This week, Birds of Prey had a solid HD market share of 64%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only sales ranking was Twentieth Century and Walt Disney Home Entertainment's The Call of the Wild. This adaptation of Jack London's classic adventure tale underperformed with both critics and audiences following its February release. The film netted mediocre critical notices (it has a 47% approval rating on Metacritic), and it then grossed $62.3 million domestically on top of its estimated $107-million production budget. The Call of the Wild had a Blu-ray market share of 57% and sold 38% as many Blu-rays as Birds of Prey. Regarding the overall package-media list, the film sold 43% as many total units as the DC Comics-inspired actioner.

Finally, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Bloodshot rounded out the top three on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. An adaptation of the cult Valiant Comics hero, Bloodshot was one of the first big casualties of the Covid-19 Pandemic. While the film received poor reviews (it has a 44% approval rating on Metacritic), it had the greater misfortune of opening just before global lockdowns swept the country; as a result, it only grossed $29 million at the worldwide box office on top of its estimated $45-million production budget. Bloodshot had an HD market share of 50% and sold 20% as many Blu-rays and 26% as many total units as Birds of Prey.
