Denon Electronics has announced that it will release two new Blu-ray players to the US market in July 2009 at lower prices than their current lineup: the
DBP-1610CI (with a suggested retail price of $499), and the
DBP-2010CI (priced at $699). Both of them support BonusView and BD-Live, and advanced audio codecs.
Both models offer DivxHD playback and support AVCHD playback from BD discs made from HD camcorders. They support Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio, and are equipped with high-class Burr-Brown digital/analog converters and "superior analog components" for those that still use the analog audio connections.
The
DBP-2010CI adds Anchor Bay Technologies VRS processing (with upconversion and IP scaling to 1080p/24, as well as high-definition audio decoding and multi-cadence i/p detection), and RS232C connection capability for third-party system control.
Connections for both players include HDMI, component video, composite video and analog audio connectors, plus an Ethernet port and remote in/out connection. The
DBP-2010CI adds an RS232C port for third-party system control.
