For the week that ended on May 9th, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment's Bloodshot debuted at the number-one spot on both the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media charts. An adaptation of the cult Valiant Comics hero, Bloodshot was one of the first big casualties of the Covid-19 Pandemic. While the film received poor reviews (it has a 44% approval rating on Metacritic), it had the greater misfortune of opening just before global lockdowns swept the country; as a result, it only grossed $29 million at the worldwide box office on top of its estimated $45-million production budget. This week, Bloodshot had an HD market share of 57%.

Next up on the Blu-ray-only sales ranking was Lucasfilm and Walt Disney Home Entertainment's Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker. The controversial finale to the "Skywalker Saga," The Rise of Skywalker made a big box-office splash following its December release. Yes, the film scored mediocre critical notices (it has a 53% approval rating on Metacritic), but it still grossed over $1 billion worldwide on top of its estimated $275-million production budget. The Rise of Skywalker had a good Blu-ray market share of 69% and sold 61% as many Blu-rays as Bloodshot. Regarding the overall package-media list, the film came in fourth place and sold 50% as many total units as the Vin Diesel-starring actioner.

Finally, Lionsgate Home Entertainment's I Still Believe rounded out the top three on the Blu-ray-only and overall package-media sales lists. This faith-based drama, which covers the origin story of recording artist Jeremy Camp, also had its theatrical release impacted by the coronavirus, yet it performed better relative to Bloodshot. It netted underwhelming reviews (a 41% approval rating on Metacritic), yet it managed to gross just over $9 million domestically on top of its estimated $12-million production budget. I Still Believe had an HD market share of 43% and sold 58% as many Blu-rays and 76% as many total units as Bloodshot.
