In an early announcement to retailers, Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has announced that they will bring the 2009 remake of '
Race to Witch Mountain' to Blu-ray on August 4th, day-and-date with the DVD release. Video will be presented in 1080p AVC accompanied by a lossless audio soundtrack.
In addition to the main feature, the Blu-ray release will contain a digital and DVD copy of the film, so that families can either load a copy on their computer or take the DVD copy on the road (at least until they install a new Blu-ray car deck).
Extras for this release have not been announced at this time.
